50% Below Normal Storm Activity. But.....
Anyone who was on island for Hurricane Marilyn in '95 will tell you that hurricanes are no joke. There's a reason why we still talk about it years later and we all have a "where I was" story. Granted, NOAA's forecast for the 2014 season calls for 50% chance below normal storm activity but....there's still that other 50%. All it takes is one storm to wreak havoc to our lives, home and island.
As cheesy as it sounds....
"it pays to be prepared"! We know last minute will be spent pulling plants and furniture inside and laying out sandbags. Get the rest of it done ahead of time. We put together a printable checklist of things to remember and stock up on early. Yes, some of the items may sound a little silly, but in times of stress we tend to forget the obvious.
So why wait for last minute? Run through this check list now, for a safer calmer and more organized tomorrow.
